The Vine Legacy chapter of the Tennessee State University National Alumni Association is pleased to recognize the recipients of the Annual The Vine Legacy Scholarship. This $1000 scholarship was established in 2014 and is intended to provide financial support to deserving students who demonstrate their commitment to Think, Work, Serve through scholastic achievement, leadership, and active participation in a campus organization.

2015-2016 Recipient: Tyra Prude

Tyra is a senior mass communications major with a concentration in media leadership and performance from Kankakee, IL.  She is preparing for a future career as a news anchor by actively participating in student run radio and TV stations.  She serves as a University Ambassador and is member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

2016-2017 Recipient: Candace Harris

Candace is a senior Honors program nursing major from Huntsville, AL by way of St. Louis, MO.  She is an aspiring pediatric nurse practitioner who serves as a University Ambassador and sits on the Student Union Board of Governors of the SGA.  She is a member of the Pre-Alumni Council, Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, and Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Inc.
